Restoring Kakamega Forest

On 18th June 2025, NextGen for Earth joined Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) and other industries in Kenya to plant trees towards restoring the Kakamega Forest. Kakamega Forest is Kenya’s only remaining equatorial rainforest and a vital sanctuary for rare species, biodiversity, and climate regulation. By restoring this ancient forest -Nextgen contributes to combating climate change as trees absorb carbon dioxide, protects wildlife, preserves water sources, and supports the well-being of local communities. We invite industries and businesses to support this important initiative through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs—because together, we can grow a greener, healthier future for all.
